Smoothies

I have been MIA for to long from my blog. I hope that I can find things to write about again. It's been on my mind lately and amd really want to write so my effort starts hear today!

Smoothies who doesn't love a good smoothie in you favorite flavor from the coffee shops!? I love them but I don't love the price. My favorite one is a called Lava flow. We have a little place in our mall that has quite the collection of choices when it comes to flavors. I pretty much stick to my normal choice. Tried something diffrent once and didn't like it. So the thought of paying so  much for a drink to find out I don't like it No thank you! Anyways! The flavors of lava flow is strawberry and piña coloda. Supper easy to achive at home.

Lava flow
Simple syrup
1 cup water
1 cup sugar

Bring water and sugar to a boil. Pour in to container to keep and let cool.

Simple syrup cooled
Strawberries
Pineapple canned or fresh
Pineapple I juice use it from canned fruit
Cream of cocanut

Place as much or little of ingredents as you like in blender and mix. This way you can control which flavors are stronger. You could even do the strawberry separate from the piña coloda part and make a cool looking drink.

Hope you enjoy!

Peppermint Brownies

My lates pintrest try was peppermint brownies. I never read the actual blog post from sixsisterstuff.com I seem the pocture and was like simple way to play up a brownie mix. It really is.

I bought a brownie mix and 4 regular size Yorks. I made my brownie mix as directed poured a small amount in to my 8x8 pan placed the patties in the pan and poured the rest of the brownie batter in. It cooked for about 35 min and the top seemed to explode. If you look at the six sisters there's did not do this. I never opened that pin till today! LOL! I only make one brownie from scratch! Not all of them.

The picture above is shortly after cooking so it was still nice and warm. Yum my fav way to have a brownie.
If you like peppermint patties this is a great treat.

Hope you have a wounderful Sunday!

Stay warm everyone!

DIY wreath

Wreaths seem to be one of the more popular crafts these days. Yes I jumped on bored. It took me months to find the right color of crimson. Can you guess why! Here's a hint Roll Tide!!!!

Months ago I mode podge an "A" with hounds tooth print scrapbook paper and painted the sides black. I was set on using geomesh for the wreath. I even waited till All the Christmas stuff was out to try and find what I wanted. Yeah no such luck.

Walmart happened to have a crimson burlap with the geomesh they had in the Christmas section. So that became my material. I already bought a roll of hounds tooth ribbon month prior.

I looked at a few tutorials and read one or two and just didn't like them. So I started with little to no instruction and made my wreath.

Here is a picture of it in the process.

This is what I finished with. Really I would say just go for it! All you do is push the burlap though and fluff it the best you can. It's not a huge fluffy wreath at all but I like it. My son happened to have a stress ball foot ball he didn't mind giveing up. So here it is.

Sorry the picture is side ways. I might add some more hounds tooth ribbon just cause I think it doesn't have enogh.
