Christmas Wreath

ItA while back I desided to make a wreath for my door for Christmas. I desided to do am up cycle project.

I used wrapping paper tobes for for the flower. I hot glued the fliers together then painted them with the help of a little helper.

I looked threw my scrapbook and craft supplies for something as centers and I wanted to use up some time stones that I had. Then came the issue of how am I attaching them. I remembered I had some scrapbook embellishments I really didn't have any use for.  So I painted them red.
Then glued 3 rime stones to each of them for the center of the poinsettia.

I also used some green scrapbook paper to make leafs.

Here is my assembled wreAth.

I love how it tured out. So diffrent. What kind of craft projects do you have going for Christmas.

Have a great day!

Baked Spaghetti Loaf

One night we were having spaghetti for supper and I didn't want to run to the store for garlic bread so I made some out of loaf bread. While we were eating my boys got to talking about spaghetti sandwhich. I had seen them on pintrest and on TV for a tail faint sandwhich. So I asked the kids if they wanted to have Speghtti sandwhich's for dinner one night. I got an instant YES! This seemed to expire them.

I didn't remember how the bread was wraped around it so I did look up one of them just to find out how but did my own thing.

What I used...
A Refgirafes pizza crust
2 cups shredded cheese
6 oz spaghetti
Spagetti sauce with hamburg I had frozen
Italian mix spices
Garlic powder
Egg

I boiled my pasta til it was done. Once it was done I mixed my meat sauce in.
I layers my pizza crust out on my cookie sheet. I had to stretch it out a bit. I pored the mixture of noodles and meat sauce down the middle making sure it stayed pilled towards the middle. I topped the noodles with the bag of cheese. Using kitchen shers I cut at a diagonal and made about 9 streps down each side. I alternated laying them over the top of the spaghetti. Bruised on the egg was and sprinkled the Italian spice mix and garlic and some Parmesan cheese over the too of the dough.
I baked it at 400 for 25 minuets I think I should have done 20. It was a little darker than I wAnted.
The kids thought it was yummy!

I took the left over half wraped it up and reheated it the next day for the boys. I put iron the over at 350 for 15 min.

Fall nails

Tried to dupe a nail look from pintrest today. Kind if cutie. Think my white brush strokes should've been shorter.

Have a great night.

Breakfast and Pizza Empanadas.

I had made empanadas around 2 years ago and wanted to play with ideas of what to put in them because the dough is pretty versital. So I have finally gotten around to making them again. I desided to do a breakfast version. Eggs, bacon is where I started and threw some cheese in a few.
Here is my dough. I didn't think early on about posting this till I had it rolled out.
I found the recipe on About.com it's really simple. I made it earlier in the day put it in the fridge and let it set for a while till I was ready to work on them. Rolled it out and used a glass cause I never remember to buy a round cutter! One day I will!!!!

I got my eggs and bacon cooked.
Then I started to assemble them. I tore the bacon in to pieces placed some eggs on there and later did a few with cheese.
Fold them over and use a fork to close them together. I wet the fork with water and press them.
1 fold over

2 wet fork

3 press edges
4 continue all the way around
Once I had them folded over I start putting them on the pan. I turned the oven on to 350 so it can be heating.
While making them my oldest came in to the kitchen and started to play with the dough and I had an idea to use up some pepperoni's I had in the fridge to make like a pizza/calzone. He got a cookie cutter out and this is what we done.

I then made other round pizza's or calzone style empanadas.
With pepperoni's cheese I used some mozzarella on some and Colby jack on others.
Once they were on the pans I put on an egg wash and backed them for 20 minuets!
And here they are finished. Oh and the largest one i just done it like a huge calzone cause the dough got a little stiff and I wanted to use the meat up.

My oldest son dug right in!!!
Yummy!!! They are good! Was his reply!
I am not trying the breakfast ones tonight I am going freeze or just put them in the fridge for later in the week. It's getting cold out and I like a hot breakfast. Nice trial run to do a half and half batch.
They are pretty great. The possibilities are endless here.
Have a great day!
