Pressed pennies

We decided to take a trip to St. Louis at wasn't planned well all we knew we wanted to do was go to the Zoo. We went  got there and got our hotel rooms and decided to go to the Arch. Pretty amazing to see. But we should have made reservations for going up we are going to have to go back and make plans so that we can make reservations I had no idea that the Arch would be thay busy. Wow. But it was pretty amazing.

We got some food that evening and settled down at our hotel since we would have a big day of walking.

St. Louis Zoo is free and is amazing. We got there earlier. We collect pressed pennies for souvenirs but we were a little unprepared so between my parents and I we dug out enogh quarters to press plenty of pennies. We didn't do every machine that we seen. I seen 7 total.
It cost $0.51 to press. The cheapest souvenir ever and you can do things with them.  Each machine has 4 diffrent pictures to pick from. We love doing them and the kids love them.

I am going to be looking for a picture frame and maybe putting foam behind it. Or a folder with base ball card holders. Not sure yet.

Round 2 Lena cup

Round 2 with my Lena cup. Since my cycle started at work and I'm a little uneasy about the cup opening I  still opting to wear tampoms at work. So I come home get a shower and insert my cup. First night I'm thinking I got this. It has been a hole month and No it didn't work out ok the first try. It took a little bit. Once I got it. The rest of the night was great.




Oh my smells! Day 2 as I'm running to the restroom I smell the dredged oder which isn't strong but thinking wow I don't notice this with the Lena cup. Then I get a whif of someone else. And I have the urge to say I know how you can help that. But I contain my comments. Oh my ladies there is a better way it just comes with learning how to properly use the product. Anyways I get home with the plan to get a shower and change. My plan get changed. I didn't make it to the shower till around 6. Once I did again I was having issues with getting my Lena cup to fully open. For me I was thinking the postion of sitting was the best so as I was inserting and thinking of all the tips I had read I'm running my finger around the rim of the cup and realized I'm feeling my cervix below my cup I was trying to insert upperward and not downward Bam! Game changer! It popped open just as soon as I tilted it downward.
Over night no leaks. I went to bed around 11 and sleep till around 7 ish. Once again remebing that I needed to tilt the cup down ward a little it opened right away. So far so good. I'm a happy camper. :) The day went good no leaks I was able to get in and it pop open evertime I emepted.
Until!!! I started getting ready for bed. I was filling super good about the menstral cup. So I had a little trouble at first but got it and I felt it pop open. Thinking I'm good I go to bed. I was woke up in the middle of the night by my neighbor playing....Not big deal it's still good no leaks... I get up and go to the bathroom to get ready for the day and I go to empty it. Wait....My
 cup was not right in side like it had been. My menstral cup was side ways!!!! My cervix had went back up during the night and the menstral cup had moved. It was a little harder to grab but I got it. My period tends to be crazy and not consistant. A huge reason I have choose to use the menstral cup. I can use it and not worry about being dry and other various things.
I'm hopeing I am brave enogh next month to wear it while I am working although I have not gotten my emptying schedule down I am loving the menstral cup.  I fill much more free. The semptoms of things I felt while weareing tampons are gone. Man what a game changer.
So many people are grossed out by the menstral cup but I wish I had found it a lot sooner. 

I did contact Lena cup during this round of my period for advice and I. Am Supper impressed with the comapny. They are sending me a free small cup even thought I'm not convinced I need it maybe on the lighter days at the end of my period but it still impressed me that they would do that.

Menstral cups? You do what?

If you are thinking of trying a menstrual cup do it. If you don't know what it is research it and think about it. I get that it grosses some people out but it doesn't others. And for some who have issues with leaking threw tampons such as my self this is a game changer. I was so frustrated back in December when I had an Aha moment and thought there has to be a "green" way out there. Boy was I right.  I have also had a friend have cervical cancer recently as well. Tampons Are full of chemicals and I often have issues with them. So finding out there are menstrual cups made in the USA of medical grade material. I was supper excited. I choose to purchase the Lena menstrual cup.

I think I had a much different experience than all the blogs I have read about first time menstrual cup uses. Everyone I read started off with how frustrated they were from the get go. So my first time inserting my Lena menstrual cup it sealed. Score so excited I don't have to fight with it.  It was later in the evening so I wore it all night. That evening no issues.




 My First use over night. I loved it no mess. I often when using tampons wake up and as soon as I get out of bed if I am not already a mess I fill a gush.  This morning no mess no gush. Even more thrilled. So I get ready for work. I Clean the cup and reinsert. I get to work and I fill a leak after being there for a while. So I make a dash for the restroom. UGH! Not what I wanted to do. I get it corrected. The rest of the Day goes pretty smooth. I basically forgot about it it's so comfortable. That is till almost time to go home. That never happens with a tampon. Getting ready to go I all the sudden fill a leak I knew then I had over filled. Sure enough. I got home and got a shower cleaned up/showered. Here comes the sad face!!!! :( I could not get it to reseal the rest the after noon no matter what I did. I would think I had it but didn't. So it was in and out of the bath room. Later that night I thought I had it so I went to bed. I didn't leak till I got up
