Cork reindeer
I found the idea for these awesome raindeer on pintrest. The blog is thehomelessfinch.blogspot.com. Mine look quite diffrent than the ones she did. I had to think about what to make the antlers and ears out of and I have not found any red beads for the nose like she had put on. I do fill like the are missing something with out the nose. Thinking about Pom-poms maybe.
I made about 12 all togeather. They are so cute. I put O rings in the backs of them so I could use them on my tree.
Cutting the corks in half was a chore it's pretty hard. I even tried a method of steaming them. It didn't work so well. I think I cut my self at least once making these.
They are so cute and I love them. I have been working on making all my ornaments over the past few years for my tree exsept a few. Because I don't often find any that make me say I gotta have that one.
I hope to get some salt ornaments made with my boys or cinammon.
Hope you have a great day!

Baked Spaghetti Loaf
One night we were having spaghetti for supper and I didn't want to run to the store for garlic bread so I made some out of loaf bread. While we were eating my boys got to talking about spaghetti sandwhich. I had seen them on pintrest and on TV for a tail faint sandwhich. So I asked the kids if they wanted to have Speghtti sandwhich's for dinner one night. I got an instant YES! This seemed to expire them.
I didn't remember how the bread was wraped around it so I did look up one of them just to find out how but did my own thing.
What I used...
A Refgirafes pizza crust
2 cups shredded cheese
6 oz spaghetti
Spagetti sauce with hamburg I had frozen
Italian mix spices
Garlic powder
Egg
I boiled my pasta til it was done. Once it was done I mixed my meat sauce in.
I layers my pizza crust out on my cookie sheet. I had to stretch it out a bit. I pored the mixture of noodles and meat sauce down the middle making sure it stayed pilled towards the middle. I topped the noodles with the bag of cheese. Using kitchen shers I cut at a diagonal and made about 9 streps down each side. I alternated laying them over the top of the spaghetti. Bruised on the egg was and sprinkled the Italian spice mix and garlic and some Parmesan cheese over the too of the dough.
I baked it at 400 for 25 minuets I think I should have done 20. It was a little darker than I wAnted.
I took the left over half wraped it up and reheated it the next day for the boys. I put iron the over at 350 for 15 min.
Thanksgiving 2013
OI thought that I would make things way simple on my self and put my potato's and carrots on crockpots to keep the house from getting over heated. We missed my time for putting them on and I starting to think that it would take around 8 hours for them anyways. This was my set up!
How great this would have worked. I was going to do right around five hours on the crocks bit got to making simple syrup and squeezeong lemons for another gallon of lemonade. Opps! :( but I think it would have took near 8 hours took th now.
My other miss happ was also trying something I think I seen on pintrest maybe face book not sure which one.
I wanted to make my deviled egg mixture in a plastic bag. It was way to runny! I'll stick to a bowl the old fashion way!!! Thank you very much!!!!
All in all it still turned out okay. Everything wound up on the stove it just got way hot in my kitchen.
Oh and our smoker turkey that the hubby did was awesome!!!!! Re omen you try this of you have a smoker. It was about a 10 pound bird smoked for 5 hours. Oh so tender and great.
Have a wounderful night!

Fall nails
Tried to dupe a nail look from pintrest today. Kind if cutie. Think my white brush strokes should've been shorter.
Breakfast and Pizza Empanadas.
Here is my dough. I didn't think early on about posting this till I had it rolled out.
I found the recipe on About.com it's really simple. I made it earlier in the day put it in the fridge and let it set for a while till I was ready to work on them. Rolled it out and used a glass cause I never remember to buy a round cutter! One day I will!!!!
Then I started to assemble them. I tore the bacon in to pieces placed some eggs on there and later did a few with cheese.
1 fold over
Once I had them folded over I start putting them on the pan. I turned the oven on to 350 so it can be heating.
While making them my oldest came in to the kitchen and started to play with the dough and I had an idea to use up some pepperoni's I had in the fridge to make like a pizza/calzone. He got a cookie cutter out and this is what we done.
With pepperoni's cheese I used some mozzarella on some and Colby jack on others.
And here they are finished. Oh and the largest one i just done it like a huge calzone cause the dough got a little stiff and I wanted to use the meat up.
I am not trying the breakfast ones tonight I am going freeze or just put them in the fridge for later in the week. It's getting cold out and I like a hot breakfast. Nice trial run to do a half and half batch.
They are pretty great. The possibilities are endless here.
Have a great day!

Pumpkin carving
My boys are 7 and 4 so carving pumpkins turns in to adult play. My oldest would help but not my youngest he just wanted a voice in what they were.
We started off looking at the books with the patters. Which my oldest did choose from. I got brave and carved 2 with out a pattern like old times when I was a kid.
Although my tools are way better than just having a kitchen knife like I did as a kid it made it much easier!
I used a pic we found for insperation and here we go!
Not looking to bad! Staring to drill a hole for his eye!
And here you go!
I only took one picture of the second free hand carve since my boys wanted scary faces I wanted a scared little one!!!

Bacon Mac & Cheese
If you are a piner on pintrest you know there are millions of recipes out there for the same things diffrent variations. Sometimes I'll pin several recipes and pic threw them and make my on version. Mac & Cheese has been my latest victim.
I love Mac & Cheese if it is good stuff not the boxed stuff. I had really been having a hard time with makeing a rue of flour and milk and that's all we could tast. I found some ideas of making Mac & Cheese with other things in them and got Bacon Mac & Cheese. Yummy!!!!!
1 box routine noodles
1/2 Ib cheese
Bacon chooped - use as much or little as you like.
3 cups cheese your fave
Any kind you like.
Start the pasta cooking.
Choop bacon. In a large skillet cook chooped bacon. I only use about 6 full slices. Once the bacon is cooked drain on a paper towel. Drain grease from pan.
Bring heavy cream to a simmer and reduce about 3 min. Add chese stering tell melted well takes about. 3 min. Add bacon. Pasta should be done and drained. Pour cheese sauce over pasta and yummy dinner ready.
So very good.
If you like bacon and cheese you will love it.
I have done cheddar and also made it with Colby jack which did not melt as well as cheddar.
Hope you try this it is great.
Have a great day and yummy eats!!!!

Pinterest tries!!!!
So I love Pinterest.... Who doesn't right? I find all kinds of things there to try and make. Today I tried to make stabilized whipped frosting. It didn't have a good taste needed some vanilla maybe it would be okay.
Maybe if I got it to tast better I would be okay. I'll keep practicing on it as I will have heavy cream left over from making Iron Skillet brownie for my hubby!!! Talk about a good homemade brownie.....YUMMY!!!!
I also recently made a brownie mix that I found on Pinterest that I didn't like.
Out the fales from Pinterest explorations!!!
It's fun though!
I think I am going to try another type of frosting!!! I want something not so super sweet!!
Have a great day!!
